Three Wonderful Bitter/Sweet Days And Nights ROLLED Into One Victorious Day!

Three Wonderful Bitter/Sweet Days And Nights ROLLED Into One Victorious Day!

Old Testament Prophecy
Isaiah 26:19 KJV
Daniel 12:2 KJV
Psalm 16:9-11 KJV

Jonah 1:17-2:10 KJV and
Matthew 12:40-41 KJV
(Three (3) Days and Three (3) Nights)

I made some calculations snd discovered that Jesus must have been crucified before Friday to have risen on Sunday morning, fulfilling Bible prophecy of being in the grave for three (3) days and three (3) nights, as Jonah was in the belly of the whale. Regular Sabbath Day periods begin on Friday Nights through Sunday mornings. (Two (2) Nights and Three (3) Days)

Matthew 12:40 KJV
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

[“High Sabbath” and “Regular Sabbath” Days sometimes overlap, like when Jesus was crucified.]

Thursday night- High Sabbath Day Preparation and Night 1 crucifixion.
Night 1

Friday morning- High Sabbath Day 1 and Day 1 after crucifixion.
Day 1

Friday night- High Sabbath Day Night and Night 2 after crucifixion and Regular Sabbath Preparation Night.
Night 2

Saturday morning- High Sabbath Day Ending and Day 2 after crucifixion and Regular Sabbath Day.
Day 2

Saturday night- Regular Sabbath Day Night and Night 3 after crucifixion.
Night 3

Sunday morning- Regular Sabbath Day Ending and Day 3 after crucifixion.
Day 3 at dark-before daylight

Jesus’ crucifixion was on a “High Sabbath Preparation day”. Such days are extra Jewish Sabbath holy day festivals which occur a total of seven (7) times annually.

“High Sabbath days” can occur any day of the week but regular weekly “Regular Sabbath days” can only begin on Friday afternoons and end on Sunday mornings. These two (2) kinds of Sabbaths can sometimes overlap, like they did during Jesus’ crucifixion period.

John 19:31 KJV
31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

The Women must have adhered to the regularly scheduled weekly “Sabbath Preparation Day”- early on Friday to prepare spices and ointments for Jesus’ burial and still honor the regular “Sabbath Day”.

Luke 23:54-56 KJV
54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

So I conclude that Jesus was crucified on a Thursday – a “High Sabbath Day” but rose after a regularly scheduled weekly “Regular Sabbath Day” day’s end – by Sunday, at dark-before daylight.

…But Jesus was not in His tomb on Sunday morning when Mary Magdalene visited Jesus’ tomb- a “Regular Sabbath Day” day’s Ending.

John 20:1 KJV
20 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
